Yes. If you're using Zotoro or Mendeley, these apps will do that for when you need to create a reference list. If you're doing this manually in Word, then:
On the Home tab of the navigation bar, find the Paragraph section and click the Sort button
This will open a box that looks like this
Choose:
- Sort by: Paragraphs
- Type: Text
- Ascending
- Press the OK button,
Your references should now be in alphabetical order
