The EBSCO and ProQuest eBook platforms are totally different. The differences can be summarised thus:

EBSCO eBooks for FE collection

  • A collection of titles with a fixed number of books (7,000+)
  • All titles available to Library users and don't need to be bought
  • Accessed through the Library
  • Requires a password

ProQuest eBook Central

  • Both a platform to access ebooks and a catalogue of ebooks to purchase
  • Small but growing number of titles (200+) available to Library users
  • Accessed through its own platform
  • Username and password required
