You can, but honestly, we wouldn't recommend it.  Anyone can edit a wiki page, so they can write any old rubbish on it. Chances are the rubbish will be removed eventually, but why take the chance? It’s always much better to use more credible sources such as the Library's resources, other sites included in Library webpages and sources recommended by your teachers.

However Wikipedia and other wikis can be very good for providing decent reference lists. Most wiki articles include a list of information sources used in creating the article and they might be useful for your research. Some articles also provide further reading suggestions. Hence, don't use wikis as information source in themselves, but instead use them as a starting point to find other sources that might be useful.
